I'm using a Vodafone X1 and find it strange that not all applications are displayed in Start/Programs. I know enough to realise that for apps to appear here they must be in the Windows/Start Menu/Programs folder so I have had to copy pretty basic stuff like Windows Media, the Vodafone navigation software and Opera Browser there from their original hiding place (Windows/Start Menu). The first question is obviously why Vodafone would want to hide applications from its customers? But more importantly I have so far not been able to find the FM Radio application. Where is this file hiding? I realise there is a separate Radio Panel but it seems crazy that I have to change panels in order to use the radio. Can anyone help?

Going slightly off-topic!

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the radio display? Why have an ENORMOUS clock and a tiny frequency/RDS PS font?
Cheers

Masseur,

I suppose I'm just too old fashioned and think of the panels as Today screens. When I want to start an application, I want to just tap on Start/Programs and then the application. Having to change Panels seems such a strange way to start an application and then you have to go through the same procedure to get rid of the radio.

I'm really not convinced by this Panels concept especially when you have to reinstall the Panel every time you switch the phone off.

Why do you have to do that

I don't think he means "reinstall", I think he means reselect as each time you power the phone off and on it defaults to the first panel again

however you can use XperiaTweak! to always have your chosen panel each time you switch on
