Hi all !

I have a w890 which I use with a HBH-DS200 (or DS220, not sure) to listen to music.
It works great, but for ringtones : they are played via the phone speaker, so I always miss calls / messages while I am listening to music.

Isn't there a way to have the ringtones play through the bluetooth headset ?

I have patched my audio once (long time ago, so I don't remember precisely what I did). Is this the problem, or is it the same with stock audio drivers ?

Thanks a lot !

Thats quite unusual. Whenever you are listening to music either from wired handset or from bluetooth headset, the music stops automatically, when you have a call/sms. And will resume when call is ended or the sms ringtone is ended.

It is not possible to play music while call is going on.

May be your problem is you are not listening the incoming call or sms notification via bluetooth device. I dont think there is a particular setting for that.

I have ds980 and it works great. When i am listening to music and call or sms comes, the music stops and plays the sonyericsson tone, in case of call and the music stops for a while when sms is there.

May be you can put the vibration on so you know when your pocket vibrates.

Yes exactly. Maybe my post was not very clear about that, but what I'd like is to here a tone in the headset while listening to music (sonyericsson default tone would be OK, but my custom one would be better).
It doesn't happen unfortunately.

I do have the vibration on, but on the w890 it is very weak and I never feel it.

put silent mode on at the selected profile choosen when you hear music through your bluetooth headset then whenever there is an sms or a call then the tones will be heard through your bluetooth headset instead your phone loudspeaker...

Groovepeppy, thats only applicable to wired handset not for bluetooth device. Whether you put silent on or off, it does transmit the ringtone to device. Plus you cannot listen your set ringtone. You have to listen boring sonyericsson ringtone.

I think the patch you have installed is creating some problem. Remove that patch and see what happens.

OK I'll try to reinstall stock acoustic drivers then.
If I flash the device to a more recent firmware, will those acoustic drivers be replaced as well ?
