i think a phone with a secondary display on its side would be interesting. for notifications and muti functions use, like walkman buttons on music/video player or zoom in/out and shutter touch button on camera, on standby showing message icon or missed calls, maybe even showing icons of running apps. But i dont have the skills to draw it, lol.

@razec

Actually this was inspired by older SE phones , W995 (side buttons) and W715 (front upper right walkman logo) and both for the use of aluminum trims around the front camera and other accents of the phone. Really wish sony would design something like back in the golden days of

@randomuser

Thank you

@mariozlp

You are giving me some nice ideas.

I have so many designs in mind but I've been too busy these days that I can't go to my drawing board and start working even with a single concept in this thread. just this time the Nikon Android camera sparked my Imagination so I decided to create a simple sketch as to what could possibly happen should cybershot and Xperia fully merges, so here it is the Xperia CX sketch:

and here's an unfinished work on my idea of a Sony NEX-Peria device, yes a hybrid Xperia + NEX smartphone concept that's been sitting for at least few months now.

I want to call it Xperia NX

I don't know if I could finish this thing so I decided to post the project unfinished to give anyone some other ideas those are what I'm really looking for a modern smartphone these days

Hopefully I could get some time to finish those concepts

OMG what a nice design razec !!!

Love it. But why such a "huge" chin at the bottom? The back looks stunning though. I really love this a lot as I'm a fan of geometric shapes rather than curves

Hmm.. Let's see.. Smartphone these days have sacrificed ergonomics for the sake of fitting large thin bezel displays up front. resulting to difficulty accessing the softkeys during one-hand operation. Actually I visioned the chin of the NEX-peria concept to be the same as the NXT devices.

but nonetheless I'm glad you loved it despite being unfinished, thank you

Kevin,

Love that audio player strip on your concept!! I'm thinking you can do that on a revised Sony Headset Pro (hint hint).

Artists!! I have a challenge request if you'd be so kind to entertain. Would someone please 'modernize' the Xperia X1 please?
Thinner, still powerful, elegant, and no sunking glass display (flush is the word).

Thanks.
