for you people out there who are fed up with having to cope with sickly slow speeds of Win ME, I might have a solution. Go to: http://content.techweb.com/winmag/windows/features/merunbetter/default.htm .

it improved my boot time by 30 secs. I dunno if the tips will work on another OS, so if someone tries and posts back......

did you use partition magic to split ur hard drive? last time i did that and installed xp as my 2nd os, it loaded fine, but when I restarted the XP setup kept on coming on with an error message and I couldn't get rid of it. at the end I just used fdisk to delete the partition and installed ME again.

I dont want to instal xp by itself cos my ADSL modem donesn't support it and there are no driver updates and i cant get any different modems over here.

so tell me, what are the up and downsides of XP.

No you have partition the hard drive in DOs using fdisk. Then you install the First O.S on one hard drive then install the second on the other
