They have improved it. But there's still room for further improvement.
I read on reddit that a software repair using Xperia companion could help. I think I'll try.

This is good news. I just went out and picked up a 1 iv.
It's just charging up now. I was going to pre-order the 5 iv but this was the same price.

I was lucky to find a dual-sim iv for £780. I dread to think what the next Pro-i will cost. The original Pro-i is still very much out of my price range. I'd have to sell a kidney.
