thanx for the review. just want to ask a couple of things:
1. is there any nemory card supplied with the phon, if yes which size?
2. does the phone plays other formats of music than mp3? (i mean wma,aac...)
3. can you create playlists and sort the songs into separate directories on memory card, or everything has to be in the root?
4. can you install aplications written for se p9xx on a1000, or is different version of the symbian used?
5. any info on battery time yet? can you count in days or just hours?
thanx.

Some quick answers:

1. Nope. You have to buy that extra - currently 128MB is the largest,
but 256 and 512MB is to come soon.

2. Mp3, wav and mid is what I've tried with it. Don't think it support those other formats.

3. Yes you can create a playlist and move songs around.

4. Some works - however the keymapping isn't the same A1000 doesn't ha a jogdial and so on, also some apps installs but won't run. A920/925 apps will work nice though.

5. Really don't know yet - 2 days without charging and a lot of activiteis so far. I have a habit of always placing the phone in it's cradle/charger when I come home. Aftar a day of quite heavy useage it still indicates battery full. A lot better than the A920/925 that is. I'd say between 2-3 days. Even longer if only in stdby and energysaving options enabled.

Feel free to ask more at MG's forum... I'm not here that often

Thank you for the review I found it very interesting.

I have a question. I'm in the position where I need a new mobile phone/pda and gps device that will give/show me directions when am driving.

The question is this agps up to the job or is it just for show.

Thanks,
Street

sorry to steal the question Mindstorm.

The AGPS is basically like a point and text system. Not considered to to be a real GPS system that shows you a map and detailed directions.

side note: Mindstorm is your name Oxygenic on the site? Whenever I see it I keep thinking it's a link to my site lol.
add me on msn amnesia_kay (---a---) hot...
I'd like to talk to you about the site.

What type of memory card does it use? Compact Flash? or SD Card?
