I have noticed recently that every so often the ringtone becomes really quiet. I have checked the volume and its not been changed. This effects the ringtone and the SMS tone. To resolve it I have to switch the phone off and then back on again. Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and mentioned it to Vodafone/SE.
Sorry if this has already been covered but I couldn't find it

Thanks

Ok, so its not just me - I think I'll take it to a Vodafone store and check with them then. If its a common problem maybe they will replace it or upgrade the firmware or something. I'll post an update when I've done this.

setting ringtone with mp3 will solve the problem... coz playing midi on a 72voices speakers wont do it.. unless they uses polyphonics speakers like the ones found in Z600... tat its really loud!! so mp3 will do a gd ringtone.. but we'e stuck with polyphonic sms alert... and a bug in V800... everytime playing any sound (midi/mp3/wav/etc) th volume will always be set to low... kinda annoying...

Lower the volume. Select set, go out to desktop and come back in, then increase the volume. This message was posted from a K500

they av them on the new handsets but wont upgrade the software on older handsets (even though the v800's arent old).... dont know exact reasoning behind it.... they will do software upgrades but i dont think this is the same as all the users data is kept on the fone.... i'm gettin confused now...

I asked someone in work an they said no to FW updates but yes to SW updates???? I aint got a clue.... that'll b the radiation killin ma brain cells again... an i only got a few left!

am off bye. if someone wants to tell me the difference it will be much appreciated...
