3G: the third generation, difference to the low speed 2G networks.
WCMDA: one technical platform (or standard) to implement 3G.
WLAN: wireless LAN? It is a local network.

3g is the term for fast mobile networks that operates at data transfers of between 144kb/sec-2mb/sec. It's a generic term for all 3rd generation standards that fit the criteria.

WCDMA is one of the 3g standards, popular in Europe and used in Japan, America etc. along with CDMA-2000 and others.

WLAN is wireless local area network, usually used by PCs for networking using the 802.11b, a or g standards etc.
