My review will be short:
it is SUPERB

I have Ridge Racers (racing, graphics are stunning on a portable device), Puyo Pop (puzzle, addictive and Archer Mac Lean's Mercury (tough, but really good)

WLAN works very well, and updating the firmware through WLAN is really good. Waiting eagerly for the web browser.

it is better then i thought it would be, got a few games, ( need for speed underground:rivals, wipeout pure, lumines, nba street: showdown and fifa) the graphics are amazing playing nba is exactly like on the ps2, its cool how a small device is just as powerful as a home console, the battery life isnt as bad as people make out n the games are great, cant wait for GTA for the PSP

yes, they've been available in US for about a month and will officially be in UK on 1st September. they don't have built in memory but the value pack comes with 32mb memory stick duo

well I was giving this a go as a review thread but its already turning out to be more of a discussion thread so lets continue this in the existing one instead please where you can find answers to these questions and a whole lot more thanks to MikLSP, themarques and others

Sony PSP Discussion (with 'LIVE' pics)

and just a reminder that solidsingh is looking to buy one so go to this thread if you have one go to this next thread
