The usual SLA (service level) for this type of incident ir 24-72hours, depending on the network. Problem being Orange, O2 and Vodafone all outsource there bell repairs and installations! I would think 4-5 days with no resolution ir an exception to the rule, but try turning Dual Mode off and manually selecting the network as this sometimes forces your handset to connect to an alternative cell site. Failing that, just keep your fingers crossed as it could be a connection issue between the bell site and the node/local exchange! Sorry i couldn't be more help! :-)

I had problems with connections too,
what I did was re-install the firmware and it worked fine afterwards

try it may also solve your problems

Thanks Miss UK - However, I woke this morning to find everything working and back to normal. The problem was clearly operator based and unrelated to either the handset or the sim.

My thanks to those who suggested possible solutions.
