they were realy getting a beating on Twitter and FB, glad they sorted it out, unfortunetly us consumers are very well informed these days, so these companies cant pull such old tactics anymore without major backlash.

Seems HTC werent lying about the Desires lack of ROM, they have announced that they will have to remove some apps in the Desire's Gingerbread update, they will make those apps downloadable from Android market though, they havent decided on which apps to remove yet:
