K850 newbie here. Hope that LCD issue never comes up. Sadly though, I've already experienced the Xenon flash misfire a number of times, mostly while taking test shots. Good thing I rarely use the flash.

But overall... for the price that I got it... not bad for a main phone and as a backup digicam.

I have given up trying to get SE to also launch the SE Txt in Sweden too.

Looking and drooling over a K850 instead. Can get a refurbished/demo cheap.
Will use the phone almost only for phone calls (when the novelty of the K850 is gone )
As a back-up to the DHD and Hazel. I missed the Kxxx and Wxxx series as I used Motorolas and Samsung phones in these days...

Can't find any specifications (not wanting to browsing thru 10.000+ google pages)

1 K850 can read microSD thrue or false?
2 Does K850 have a Fastport or the even older one?
3 Would you buy a K850, today?

Also having choices of a W880, T700 or K810 how would you compare them to the K850?

1 yes it reads microsd as well, you put them flipped in.
2 yes it has fastport, at the bottom.
3 i wouldn't buy it but i trade it with my satio(i had that fone before 3years gave it to my bro and now i took it back and gave Satio to my bro) i don't know which is worst....
i think with a c905 you'll be satisfied as i was after k850 and before satio. 8mp good camera with xenon flash, wifi, bigger screen, fastport, m2card.

At last could I bring my latest phone home, the K850i.
After selling my Vivaz Pro, X10 Mini and the M1i Aspen.

Keeping the DHD (for now) and the Lovely Hazel, just for the fun of it testing the K850i, that year it was launched I bought a Motorola K1 KRZR.

Compared to the K1 the K850 is way ahead. the k850 is almost like an smartphone compared to the KRZR.
(still loved my K1 KRZR and kept it for two years, only giving it to my girlfriend who needed an extra phone)

Compared to the J20i Hazel the K850i shows how old it is, The Hazel is faster, both browsing menues also the Hazel having Wifi and GPS and (much leaner and smother).

After accidental inserted the 8GB MicroSD card in the SIM-card slot I decided to use the 16GB card that I had with the X10 Mini, later understanding that having a memory card stuck in the SIM-card slot prevented the inserting of the Pre-paid SIM Managed to get the memory card out with a safety pin.

Anyhoo... the K850i gladly reads the 16GB card and erased those files and folders that Android had created.
The K850i even reads those photos taken with the X10 Mini.

The K850 can hardly hold anything to the Hazel... Still it will give me a few months of fun.

Now if please, could be so nice to develop a phone with the Hazel performance (and 2.6 screen) in a slim phone like the T280, Neon flash of the K, C plus ther software and the Walkman software of the W line.
I am again ready to buy me a new non-Android phone.

Else I will buy me a second K1 KRZR...

I had a Hazel once it's a great handset although I gave it to my skint brother who needed a new phone. He was skint & could not afford a new phone with 4 kids to feed. Never had the K850i though I never liked the design

Spoke too soon... My K850 now has that dreaded LCD/keypad problem. Good thing it's still under warranty. I'll be heading for the SE service center in a while. Guess my gamble didn't pay off.
